Killer Instincts

The Carcass of the squirrel lies just outside my back door.
Its entrails
littering the crusty brown lawn.
The skin sliced open by

scalpel-like nails
sword-like teeth

soft brown fur wet with slobber.
The killer sits at my feet
the squeaker in his mouth
.

Darn you! I laughed so hard at the picture of Kyra that I started coughing again! She is such a funny girl!

But, this is a frequent look for Kyra- covered in something she shouldn't have been into in the first place.

Well, around our house, we ALWAYS know who does it! That's why the 7 year old is still stuck in a crate when she can't be supervised 100%- you can't even leave her out long enough to go to the mailbox!
